Our first meeting

The Eco Councillors from Year 1 to Year 6 met at the end of the last half term to discuss what changes they would like to implement in our school. Year 6 led the meeting and decided that recycling would be a good way to start.  

New Eco-Captains

Well done to these children, they were elected the new captains of the Eco-Council. They will lead the eco-council all year!  

Eco-Council Learning Lunch

Today the newly elected eco-council had their first learning lunch of the year. They discussed why we have an eco-council, as well as evaluating where the school is and what our next steps are!          

Bronze School Status

The eco-council have been working non-stop to make St Silas a more eco friendly school and their hard work has paid off; this week the school was awarded the Bronze School Status!  

Year 1 Forest Schools – World Animal Day

Our Year One forest school children also worked hard with Mr Roberts to create some wonderful hedgehogs for our hedgehog hotel, while studying animal habitats and biodiversity. Well done Year One!
